As noted before, John Cena’s availability for WWE for next year’s WrestleMania 39 event in Inglewood, California was believed to be in doubt due to Cena’s current filming schedule for early 2023.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that the current belief within WWE is that Cena will be available for the event. Cena reportedly is currently working on his schedule to make sure he can potentially work at WrestleMania 39 but the belief within WWE is that he will get it done.
Cena reportedly is currently expected to be unavailable for WWE for most of February and March of 2023 due to him being involved in the upcoming filming of a new comedy movie in Australia.
Meltzer reported that at one point, WWE officials had plans for Cena to potentially compete in a match against Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39 but that was while Vince McMahon was in charge of the company.
