As noted before, WWE released Mandy Rose on Wednesday over issues related to adult themed content she had been posting on her FanTime account.
Rose recently commented on her FanTime account about her release from WWE.
“Hey guys, thank you for all the messages. I am overwhelmed with all the love and support from you guys. And don’t worry the page is still up! ;)”
In regards to WWE’s decision to release Rose, Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources stated that Matt Bloom and Shawn Michaels had a meeting backstage involving Bloom informing Michaels about the content Rose had been recently posting to her FanTime account. Meltzer reported that this led to Michaels making the decision for Rose to drop her NXT Women’s title and rewrote the plans for that night’s NXT show.
Meltzer reported that following Rose dropping the title, WWE officials then fired her over the belief that she had crossed way over the line in what was acceptable outside work while under a WWE contract. Meltzer also reported that another reason was due to WWE not wanting to potentially upset sponsors who they had promised a cleaner product.
In regards to Rose’s earnings from her FanTime account, Bryan Alvarez reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Live that the current rumor is that she was making more money from the service than she was making from her WWE main roster contract.
