As noted before, WWE co-CEO Stephanie McMahon officially resigned from WWE this past Tuesday. Prior to her departure, McMahon had opposed her father Vince McMahon’s plans to sell the company as part of his recent return to WWE’s Board of Directors. McMahon had also revealed at an employee-only meeting last week that she was not fond of her father’s return to the company as well.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that prior to her departure, Stephanie had issues working with Vince in the company that required WWE CEO Nick Khan to act as a buffer between the two.
Vince and Paul “Triple H” Levesque reportedly also had their own share of issues working together in the company, which also required Khan to act as a buffer between the two as well.
In an interesting note, Meltzer reported that this is the first time since 1982 that no other member of the McMahon family besides Vince is currently working in WWE.
