AEW World Trios Championship
The Elite (c) vs. AR Fox & Top Flight

They are in shirts for the NBA All Star game and with a basketball. The Elite all have basketballs and NBA All Star Jerseys. There’s your corporate synergy. Don Callis joins commentary.

Nick Jackson and Dante Martin do a jump ball to start the match. Dante gets the ball, but Nick hits pulls Dante down. The ball is tossed into Kenny and Top Flight and AR Fox take out Nick with leaps and kicks. Fox leaps on the Bucks on one side and Kenny on the other, then back onto the Bucks. With a basketball in his hands. The Elite call for a time out. Omega tags in as does AR Fox. Fox is kept in Omega’s corner for quick tags. They toss a basketball around as we go to picture in picture.

Fox gets the hot tag when we come back to full screen. Dante tags in and flies all over the place with Omega as the other legal man. Matt and Darius tag in. Dante hits a drop kick off the top and tosses a basketball into Nick. Jericho lets us know that Basketballs are legal in this match. The Elite take over and they get Big Moves including a senton onto Fox and Darius at the same time on the second drop. Fox gets a run on the Elite. Fox does a back flip into a triple superkick.

Kenny hits a V Trigger and the one winged angel on Darius for the pin and the win.

Winners and still AEW Trios Champions: The Elite

After the match, the lights go out and the House Of Black show on the stage in dark light. The lights come up and they are gone.


Backstage: The Gunns

The Gunns are with Lexi Nair, and she asks them about the four way match at Revolution. They say that the Acclaimed may not make it to Revolution, and they are the best in the division, so they are not worried about any other team.


Backstage: Orange Cassidy, Wheeler Yuta

Mark Henry sits down with Orange Cassidy and Wheeler Yuta shows up and says the best thing he ever did was to leave The Best Friends because he’s doing so much better. He is going to take Cassidy’s title from him. Cassidy says he wasn’t there to teach Yuta, he was there to be his best friend, and he accepts the match.


Daniel Garcia vs. Ricky Starks

Garcia jacks his jaw at Starks, who answers with a right to the mush and then batters Garcia to the corner. Starks tries to whip Garcia across the ring, but Garcia holds onto the rope, and instead whips Starks into the ropes, and he comes off the ropes with an elbow strike and a series of blows. Starks walks the top rope and comes down with a sledgehammer on the shoulder. They move to fight in the corner, but Garcia gets a dragon screw in the ropes and Starks is knocked to the floor as we go picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Garcia has been working on Stark’s leg for the figure four. Starks tries for a spear, but his leg gives out from under him. Garcia calls for him to get up, so when Garcia charges, Starks hits a clothesline and both men are down. Starks gets a belly to belly on Garcia, but Starks drops before following up. Starks gets a slam and a two count.

Garcia gets a Dragon Screw, but Starks I right back up and stomps on Garcia, then covers for two. Garcia locks on the Dragon Tamer in the middle of the ring. Starks crawls to the ropes, but Sammy Guevara pulls the ropes back. Action Andretti attacks Sammy and they fight into the back. Starks gets a spear, and follows up with the Roshambo for the pin and the win.

Winner: Ricky Starks

Sammy Grabs a mic and says he wants a match with Action Andretti next week.

We get a video package and promo by Evil Uno ahead of his match against Jon Moxley on Wednesday’s Dynamite.


TBS Championship

Dustin Rhodes vs. Swerve Strickland

Mark Henry asks why Swerve Strickland why he is bad mouthing the Rhodes family and he said he deserves respect. Dustin says he will have to deal with him and he will drag Swerve to hell. Hell is coming for Swerve and Dustin is coming with it.

We are told that Swerve’s other bodyguard, Trench, is not around.

Parker rushes Dustin, and Dustin takes him out. Dustin then beats the tar out of Swerve on the outside of the ring. He rolls Swerve into the ring, and then beats him down in the corner. After the ten blows on top, Dustin gets a series of right hands, but Swerve gets in a blow to stop him. They run the ropes, and Dustin gets a release German suplex. They fight into the corner and Swerve gets a leaping back kick.

Dustin rolls to the outside and Swerve gets a pump kick from the apron. Swerve then gets a drop kick into Dustin, driving him into the barricade. Dustin is now busted open and we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Dustin fights out of a headlock and Swerve hits a face slam. Swerve hits a clothesline and covers and Dustin throws him off at one. Dustin then ignores Swerve’s strikes. Swerve bites Dustin and Dustin hits a power slam. He then hits a pair of lariats, a drop down uppercut. Swerve gets an elbow strike, but Dustin gets a strike and Code Red for two. Dustin and Swerve attack each other and when they come off the ropes, they both hit cross bodies.

They fight on the apron, It ends with Swerve getting a Death Valley Driver on the Apron for two. Swerve goes to the top. Dustin kicks him down and then joins him on top. Dustin hits a second rope super plex, rolls through and hits a pile driver on Swerve for two. Swerve gets a jack knife for two. Dustin follows up with a crossroads and then hits Final Reckoning and Parker pulls Dustin out at two.

The ref calls for the DQ and Parker rolls Dustin into the ring.

Winner by DQ: Dustin Rhodes

Swerve attacks Dustin with a chain as Parker beats up security. Parker is directed to grab a cinder block from under the ring. Parker puts Dustin’s head on the cinder block. Swerve goes to the top…

Keith Lee’s music hits. Keith attacks them from behind. He beats the crap out of Parker and then grabs Swerve out of mid air. Parker dives in the way of Lee’s attack on Swerve. Lee’s hair is grey and he helps Dustin get to his feet as Swerve and Parker bail.
