A replay shows WWE Hall of Famer Lita coming to the ring to take out Dakota Kai and IYO SKY so that Becky Lynch could defeat Bayley inside a Steel Cage Match. A loud “Becky” chant kicks off. Lynch says, “The Man has come around to Brooklyn.” Lynch welcomes everyone to Monday Night Raw. She dressed spiffy and brought Adam Pearce, who gets some boos. Even though it felt great to beat Bayley in a Steel Cage Match last week (she gives a shoutout to Lita for the help, who gets a chant). Lita forgave her for being a weirdo last year.

Lynch realized that she was so distracted by the Damage CTRL fools that she lost sight of the most important thing to her: the Woman’s Championship. Lynch loves to fight her way into things. That’s where Adam Pearce comes in because he likes to up the ante. She wants an opportunity to fight into the Elimination Chamber tonight.

Bayley comes out to interrupt her. Bayley says if Lynch thinks that she’s going to get into the Elimination Chamber match after what she did last week, then she’s a bigger idiot than all these other idiots. Lynch couldn’t finish what she started since she needed a so-called Hall of Famer. Lynch says Lita just evened the odds. Bayley wants the loss scrubbed, Lita to be uninvited, and for her to be put into the Elimination Chamber match. Lynch doesn’t know what it’s like to be a Grand Slam Champion. Lynch says Bayley wouldn’t know what it’s like to main event WrestleMania. Bayley says no one wants to see Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair again, especially since Lynch lost last time. They continue to argue.

Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair comes out to the stage. There is a lot of talk about the Raw Women’s Championship, but no one thought to talk to the champion herself. A loud “EST” chant picks up. Belair wants to face the best at WrestleMania. There are already six women in the Elimination Chamber match, but if Bayley and Lynch want to use the Chamber to get to her, then they should. Pearce says Belair, Bayley, and Lynch will have a triple threat match tonight. If either Lynch or Bayley wins, they’ll be in the Elimination Chamber, and that match will start as a triple threat match. If Belair wins, neither of them gets into the Elimination Chamber match. Pearce makes the match official.

Lesnar throws one of the chairs out of the ring. Pearce says they’re here to make official the rubber match between Lesnar, who already signed the contract, and Bobby Lashley. Lesnar says he already signed the contract and just needs Lashley to sign it. Lesnar demands Lashley get out here and sign this.

Bobby Lashley’s music hits, and a security force comes out to the stage. They line the ramp. They bring out another table and a chair and put them down on the stage. Bobby Lashley walks out to the stage and looks pleased. Lashley says things are not going down like this. This is not the Brock Lesnar show. Lesnar wants a contract signing, so Adam Pearce rolls out the red carpet. Lashley is sick of this. The way Lashley sees it, whenever he faces Lesnar, he’s left him either pinned, unconscious, or eliminated from the Royal Rumble. They’re doing things on Lashley’s terms. Lesnar tells him to get his ass in the ring. Lashley sits at his table on the stage. Lashley says they’re doing this on his terms. Lashley said he’d look at the contract. “Wrestling has more than one royal family.”

Cody Rhodes, the winner of the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble, makes his way to the ring. Rhodes gets into the ring, and the crowd is absolutely buzzing. They chant, “Cody.” Rhodes welcomes Zayn to Raw and asks what he wants to talk about. Zayn says last week on Raw, he had a verbal exchange with Paul Heyman that set the world on fire. Everyone was talking about it. One thing Rhodes said has stuck in his mind. Rhodes says he’s looking more and more every day like it’s going to be Cody Rhodes versus Sami Zayn at WrestleMania. Zayn came all this way to look Rhodes dead in the eyes to hear straight from his mouth if that was lip service or does Rhodes actually believe Zayn can beat Roman Reigns. A “YES” chant picks up.

Rhodes says his bandwidth is dedicated to what he’s been saying about winning the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania. Rhodes doesn’t have time to BS Zayn. When he said Zayn can beat Reigns, he meant it. When he said that Zayn would most likely be his WrestleMania opponent, he believed it. The crowd chants, “This is awesome.” Rhodes says he respectfully doesn’t think this is what this is about right now. Does it really matter what Rhodes believes? Does Sami Zayn really believe that he can beat Roman Reigns? Zayn thinks about it and asks Rhodes if he wants the truth.

The crowd begins to sing “Ole” to Zayn. Zayn says the truth is that he doesn’t know. Rhodes hasn’t seen what Zayn sees. Zayn has been in the trenches with The Bloodline. This thing about Reigns being in God Mode isn’t just a catchphrase. Reigns is operating on a level not seen before. Zayn has seen guys bigger and stronger than him walk into a match with Reigns fully believing they could beat him only to go down. Every one of them went down. Is Zayn supposed to believe that after almost 900 days that he could be the one to take out Roman Reigns? Zayn believes he is capable of beating Reigns. If you’re asking if he thinks he’s capable of becoming the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, yes he believes that. Zayn believes that he can main event WrestleMania. Zayn has to believe that with every fiber of his being or no one else will. However, if Zayn thinks he can walk into Montreal and beat Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, Zayn doesn’t know.

A “You can do it” chant picks up. Rhodes asks if Zayn really doesn’t know. Everyone here knows, as does Zayn’s hometown of Montreal. Zayn looks unsure. Rhodes hasn’t been with Reigns, but he’s watched him. Everyone else has fallen, but there’s dissension in the Bloodline because of Zayn. There are cracks in the armor because of Zayn. The idea that the greatest champion of this generation could be dethroned is becoming a reality is because of Zayn. This awesome moment in time is because of Zayn. Rhodes says Reigns could be in God Mode, but he’s just a man. On Saturday, Zayn can find out for himself. Rhodes punched his ticket. Michael Cole said on commentary that he needs to finish his story. Rhodes intends to finish his story. Zayn needs to finish his story! Zayn looks fired up.

In no world does Sami Zayn beat Roman Reigns. The last person to beat Roman Reigns is Baron Corbin. At the Royal Rumble, he was blindsided by Brock Lesnar. Otherwise, he’d have gone through the match and gone to beat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Instead, another guy won the match. The guy who won had a “minor injury” that kept him out for eight months. Cody Rhodes is walking in the background. Corbin doesn’t see him. Corbin doesn’t get what everyone sees in Cody Rhodes. Corbin thinks his brother and father are jokes.
