AEW: FTR Contracts Update, Jim Ross Ankle Injury Update, Marina Shafir on Jon Moxley’s Helpful Advice

FTR New AEW Contracts Status Update

As noted before, FTR’s Dax Harwood confirmed earlier this week that the reports of FTR recently signing new contracts with AEW to stay in the company are true.

Following AEW’s Dynamite show on Wednesday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, AEW held television tapings for this Friday’s Rampage show. In a promo segment on the show, Cash Wheeler revealed that his and Harwood’s new contracts with AEW are four years in length. Wheeler also stated that once their current contracts expire, they will retire from wrestling.

Jim Ross Ankle Injury Status Update

As noted before, Jim Ross recently suffered an ankle injury that has limited his traveling and commentary work for AEW shows.

Ross recently provided an update on Twitter stating that his medical rehab treatment has currently decreased his ankle wound by around 43 percent.

“Wound doctor appointment done. Treatment has reduced my wound by 43%. Feeling blessed. Excited for @AEW this week.”

Marina Shafir Comments on Jon Moxley’s Helpful Advice for Her Matches

A recent episode of the Swerve City podcast featured Marina Shafir as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Shafir’s thoughts on Jon Moxley being very helpful towards her career over the advice he has given to help improve her ring work and matches.

“It’s really cool because he just gives me little feedback after my matches. He states some obvious shit sometimes that I just don’t see. Maybe it’s just the way he’s said things to me that I absorb it a little better. His perspective on what I do is interesting and some of the things he’s suggested for me, that I tried, clicked. At this point, I have to take it one match at a time. I know my role. I still have work to do, but I’m not very far off and I’m not going to be far off for a long time. It’s going to be clicking for me, whether it wants to or not. He’s definitely helping me use that shit together. I also don’t feel like I’m stretching myself thin. this is such a special opportunity that is here now. I’m getting an opportunity to learn how an authentic me operates within this system. I need that pressure. It forces me to chill out and enjoy this process because it’s a moment in my life.

This all started because we had a meeting and they were like, ‘let us know if you need some help.’ Everyone left, I went up to him, ‘I need some help. I want to work.”
