WWE Reportedly Reaches Deal with Twitch to Allow WWE Talent Back on Service

As noted before, WWE has had a ban in place since September of 2020 banning their talent from using outside third party services under their WWE ring names and also while contracted to the company. WWE later modified this ban allowing their talent to use certain outside third party services as long as they were approved and gave the company a cut of all of their earnings made.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE and streaming service Twitch recently agreed to a deal allowing WWE talent back on the service with almost no restrictions. Those spoken to reportedly stated that all revenue generated by talent on the service will be split three ways with Twitch and talent receiving the “vast majority” of the earnings.

In regards to the restrictions, it was reported that this was stated to be talent not being allowed to stream with people from other wrestling companies unless given approval first by WWE officials.

Talent spoken to reportedly stated that they were very happy over WWE’s recent deal with Twitch.

It was reported that WWE officials had held a meeting with talent in April of 2022 informing them that they would have the opportunity to expand their third party platforms again. It was reported that the reason for the lengthy delay was due to WWE taking longer than expected to work out a deal with Twitch.
