WWE Officials Reportedly Hold Very Positive View Backstage for Cameron Grimes

As noted before, NXT talent Cameron Grimes was given his main roster call-up and drafted to WWE’s SmackDown brand earlier this month.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that several people within WWE currently hold very positive views of Grimes. It was reported that prior to his official call-up, several high level WWE officials, including WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque” were fans of his work in the company and saw the star potential in him for their main roster.

One longtime WWE employee spoken to reportedly stated that they saw Grimes as a “slam dunk” in regards that he would work any number of styles in the company.

WWE CEO Nick Khan Comments on How WWE Secured Deals with Bad Bunny & Logan Paul

WWE CEO Nick Khan held a telecast presentation this past Thursday for the MoffettNathanson’s Inaugural Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts on how WWE was able to secure deals with Bad Bunny and Logan Paul.

“It started during the pandemic. There was a New York Times Sunday magazine cover with Bad Bunny on it. I didn’t know Bad Bunny’s music that well at the time. This was pre-vaccine COVID, so October 2020. Read the article, and a young lady who works with us said, ‘I don’t know if you know, but Bad Bunny is a huge wrestling fan.’ Showed me his Instagram feed. Triple H, when he was active, did this water routine with his entrance. Bad Bunny did it at a Miami Heat game. He’s a huge fan. We sat there on Bad Bunny and this guy, who was not yet the number one artist, but certainly seemed on a path to that, he was not touring. He was sitting at home like all the rest of us. We reached out to him, ‘what do you think of this?’ ‘Yeah, I’d love to do it.’ He came in, lo and behold, our Spanish viewership on the show he was on spiked by 30 or 40 percent. Obviously, the relevancy factor mattered. He wanted to do more and more.

We also replicated that in a different demographic category with Logan Paul, who we were getting pitched on internally by our entertainment relations folks. ‘Logan Paul is going to be the next big thing.’ He came in and took is seriously, as did Bad Bunny. It registered. It mattered. Our young audience spiked. Our bread and butter are our full-time superstars, but to be able to bring in Bad Bunny and Logan Paul and Pat McAfee at different points, it just increases awareness, which is good for us.”

John Cena Comments on “I Told Ric Flair I’d Be There If Charlotte Breaks The World Title Record”

92NY Recanati-Kaplan Talks held a recent interview with John Cena. One of the topics discussed included Cena revealing that he recently had talks with WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair and told him that if his daughter Charlotte ever breaks the World Championship title record, he would be in attendance at that show.

“I do like the legacy that Charlotte is creating for herself. I know Ric Flair had something about if she were to win a seventeenth championship, we should be there both to shake her hand. I got to see Ric recently and tell him that, if that happens, we will both be there because I think that’s tremendous. I’m not short-changing anybody else, but just because I know and love Ric, and I admire what Charlotte has done. That’s my connection to that moment, so that’s why I gotta say he.”
