WWE: Liv Morgan Suffered Injury, Ronda Rousey Makes Surprise Return, Double SD Tapings This Friday

Liv Morgan Suffered Unknown Injury

Monday’s WWE RAW show in Greensboro, North Carolina featured a backstage segment involving Adam Pearce, Raquel Rodriguez, Sonya Deville, and Chelsea Green. During the segment, Pearce stated that the scheduled WWE Women’s Tag Team match between Deville & Green and champions Rodriguez & Liv Morgan for the show was postponed due to Morgan recently suffering an injury.

Prior to the start of the show, Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Morgan had suffered a legitimate injury at this past Friday’s SmackDown show in Knoxville, Tennessee. The nature nor cause of Morgan’s injury was not given but it was stated to have occurred at some point during the Women’s Tag Team titles match between Damage CTRL and Rodriguez & Morgan on the show.

It was also reported that Morgan had been originally scheduled to make an appearance at a Cricket Wireless meet and greet fan event on Monday but she was pulled due to her injury. Dolph Ziggler reportedly was Morgan’s replacement.


Ronda Rousey Makes Surprise Return at Monday’s RAW Show

Monday’s WWE RAW show in Greensboro also featured Ronda Rousey making her surprise return to WWE.

Following Raquel Rodriguez’s victory over Chelsea Green on the show, Rousey and Shayna Bazler made their surprise appearances and ambush attacked Rodriguez as she was walking to the back. Ronda grabbed a mic and stated that Bazler and herself were still coming after the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles and threatened that Rodriguez would defend her Women’s Tag Team titles with or without Liv Morgan’s help.

This was Rousey’s first appearance in WWE since this past April’s WrestleMania 39 event. With the exception of the Women’s Tag Team Showcase match at WrestleMania 39, Rousey had been out of action for WWE since this past March due to an arm injury,


WWE Reportedly Holding Two Sets of SmackDown Tapings This Friday

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that WWE will be holding two sets of SmackDown television tapings this Friday in Columbia, South Carolina.

Johnson reported that the reason for the double set of tapings is due to travel-related reasons over WWE’s upcoming trip to Saudi Arabia for their Night of Champions 2023 event on May 27th. Johnson also reported that tapings for the first SmackDown show this Friday will start at an earlier time of 6:45PM EST.
