WWE Night of Champions 2023 Update – Two New Matches Added, Updated Card

Two New Matches Added to Night of Champions 2023

Monday’s WWE RAW show in Greensboro, North Carolina featured two new matches officially announced for the card of WWE’s Night of Champions 2023 event on May 27th in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The first new match announced was an Intercontinental Championship match of Mustafa Ali vs. Gunther (c). This match was made following a promo segment by Gunther stating that there was nobody in the RAW locker room that he saw would be able to beat him for his title. Gunther also stated that a Battle Royal match would be held shortly afterwards to determine who would challenge for his Intercontinental title at Night of Champions 2023. Ali emerged victorious after last eliminating both Bronson Reed and Ricochet to secure his shot at Gunther’s title.

The second and final new match announced was a single match of Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus. This match was made following Lynch’s promo on the show about their recent issues and attacks on each other. Lynch then challenged Stratus to a match at WWE’s upcoming Night of Champions 2023 event, which WWE confirmed would be made official with a contract signing segment at next week’s RAW show.
