Willow Nightingale Advances in 2023 Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament

Saturday’s AEW Collision show in Toronto, Canada featured a 2023 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament First Round match of Willow Nightingale vs. Nyla Rose.

The finish to this match involved Rose escaping from Nightingale’s powerbomb attempt leading to Rose hitting a suplex and gourdbuster for a nearfall. Rose then picked up Nightingale for her Beast Bomber finisher only for Nightingale to fight out of it and hit her with a Pounce. Nightingale then hit Rose with her Babe With the Powerbomb finisher for the pinfall victory and advancing to the next round of this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament.

Nightingale will face off against the winner of the Athena vs. Billie Starkz match, which takes place on this Sunday’s Forbidden Door II event, for the Semifinals Round of this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Cup tournament.

Saraya Makes Her Return at Saturday’s Collision Show

Saturday’s AEW Collision show in Toronto also featured Saraya making her surprise return to AEW.

Following the Willow Nightingale vs. Nyla Rose match, The Outcasts’ Toni Storm, Ruby Soho, and Saraya ran out and surrounded the ring. Storm taunted Nightingale ahead of their AEW Women’s Championship match at this Sunday’s Forbidden Door II event. Before The Outcasts were able to get into teh ring to attack Nightingale, Skye Blue’s music played and she ran out to save Nightingale. This led to The Outcasts backing out from a potential fight and walking away to the back.
