AEW’s Double or Nothing 2023 event this past Sunday in Las Vegas, Nevada reportedly is currently estimated to have generated around 130,000 to 135,000 pay-per-view buys, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported that based on early data and estimates, AEW’s cable television PPV buys for Double or Nothing 2023 is currently around identical to Revolution 2023 from this past March. Meltzer reported that Double or Nothing’s current estimated range is between less than 100 fewer buys to around 0.2% higher in buys compared to Revolution 2023. Meltzer also reported that Revolution 2023 had managed to generate an increase of 30.7% in late cable television PPV purchases, which he speculated that this very large increase is unlikely to happen again for Double or Nothing 2023.
Meltzer reported that the current numbers for streaming buys for Double or Nothing 2023 is similar to what Revolution 2023 had generated.
In regards to comparisons, Meltzer reported that Double or Nothing 2023’s cable television PPV buys is currently down 31.3% compared to last year’s Double or Nothing event, which generated an overall total amount of around 165,000 PPV buys.
