As noted before, this past Tuesday’s NXT show featured WWE NIL signees The Cavinder Twins, Hanna and Haley Cavinder, making a surprise appearance as members of Chase University.
Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that despite their recent appearance on WWE television, his sources stated that the Cavinder Twins are not signed to actual developmental contracts with WWE and instead are still currently under NIL deals with the company.
Meltzer reported that the Cavinder Twins being put on WWE television despite only being under NIL type deals is a sign of how high WWE officials currently view them as potential future big stars in the company.
Meltzer also reported that the Cavinder Twins have yet to actually start training for a potential career in wrestling. Meltzer speculated that the Cavinder Twins appearing this soon on WWE television might be an indication of how serious they are towards having a career in wrestling.
In a recent interview with The Athletic, the Cavinder Twins provided an update on the status of their future in wrestling. Haley stated:
“I don’t think we’ve talked about a timeline. We take it day by day. We came out here and we’re going to a RAW event later in July. We’re going where our feet are, understanding, getting more into it and seeing where it takes us.”
