Tetsuya Naito Revealed as Sting & Darby Allin’s Mystery Tag Partner, Updated Forbidden Door II Card

Tetsuya Naito Revealed as Sting & Darby Allin’s Mystery Tag Partner

Saturday’s AEW Collision show featured New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Tetsuya Naito making a surprise appearance in AEW.

During a promo segment on the show, Chris Jericho interrupted Tony Schiavone’s introduction for Sting and Darby Allin and demanded to know who was their mystery tag team partner. Jericho boasted about how good his friendship wuth Minoru Suzuki is and claimed that Sting’s team had no chance of beating Le Suzuki Gods at Forbidden Door II. Jericho showed off how close of a friend he was with Suzuki with the exchange of a “besties” handshake.

Sting and Allin then came out and after some banter, Allin told Jericho that their mystery partner is someone that Jericho knows since this person had beaten Jericho in the Tokyo Dome. Sting whispered the name of Jericho’s ear causing Jericho to become visibly upset. Tetsuya Naito’s entrance music played and he came out to the ring revealing that he was the mystery partner. Jericho and Naito confronted each other in the ring and Jericho walked out of the ring but not before saying something to Naito.
