Cassie Lee Comments on Her Upcoming Return to Wrestling

As noted before, Cassie Lee, former Peyton Royce in WWE, is currently scheduled to make her return to wrestling this October for World Series Wrestling in Australia. This will be Lee’s first wrestling event since April of 2022.

A recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast had Lee as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Lee’s thoughts on her upcoming return to wrestling.

“This is a home promotion for me in Australia. Shawn Spears is already doing it, and we thought it was kind of perfect for me to go along with him and take our son. It’s really exciting and they were open to the idea. We’ve been talking about doing mixed tag stuff for a long time and it was a good opportunity to do that.”

Lee also gave her thoughts about the possibility of reuniting with her former tag team partner Jessica McKay, former Billie Kay in WWE.

“At the moment, she’s really focused on her acting career, which I still am too, but being a mom now, I feel I need to contribute a certain amount to our household and my son. I had a whole life before he came along and I had all my big accomplishments before he came along. He’s so young, but we’ll have photos and footage, and he’ll know that he was there to see it all. Jess is still concentrated on acting, but I still want to tag. That’s why I want to tag with Shawn. I love tag wrestling.”

MLW Owner Court Bauer on MLW’s Ongoing Anti-Trust Lawsuit Against WWE

As noted before, Major League Wrestling’s original antitrust lawsuit against WWE was dismissed this past February and had filed a new amended lawsuit this past March.

A recent episode of The Business of The Business podcast featured MLW owner Court Bauer as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Bauer’s thoughts about the current status of MLW’s lawsuit against WWE.

“You’re trying to get me into trouble (Bauer jokingly said when asked about the MLW/WWE lawsuit). I’ll say this, there’s really not gonna be any news on this I guess until mid-summer. But, it’s a process… The judge had the right to just dismiss the case and say peace out. What he did is he said, ‘You need to beef up some of these aspects of your case. Please resubmit,’ which I thought was an encouraging sign. I’m no lawyer. I just play one on MLW TV and my name is Court but, it’s something that you say, okay and hopefully we did our job. He asked us to resubmit our homework, we did and hopefully we’ve satisfied his needs to move forward and if we move forward, I am sharpening my fork and knife for discovery.”
