WWE: Brian Pillman Jr. Reportedly Signs Contract, Xavier Woods on Future of New Day, Cody Rhodes

Brian Pillman Jr. Reportedly Signed Contract with WWE

As noted before, Brian Pillman Jr.’s contract with AEW recently expired and was given a tryout at WWE’s Performance Center earlier this month.

BodySlam.net’s Cassidy Haynes reported that his sources stated that Pillman Jr. is currently believed to have recently signed or is in the process of finalizing an official contract with WWE.

Haynes reported that Pillman Jr. is currently scheduled to move to Orlando, Florida by the end of this August and will be reporting to WWE’s Performance Center at that time to begin his training for a full-time career in the company.

Xavier Woods Comments on Future of New Day in WWE

A recent episode of the Superstar Crossover podcast featured Xavier Woods as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Woods’ thoughts on New Day’s current absence from WWE and the future of the group in the company.

“So we haven’t been on TV in a minute, what, like, a month, two months? The thing that people don’t see is all the stuff that we do outside of the ring. So we have been working relentlessly on so many other things. So we’ll be back in due time, we’ll be back in due time. If you look at wrestling, the landscape has changed. I love when it changes because it comes at a slow pace, and then all of a sudden, you see all these faces are faces that have only been there for like six months, or a year, or a year-and-a-half. That’s what’s kind of happening right now. So many people are filtering in. So, as people filter in and they get established, and the crowd gets to know who they are, then all of a sudden, New Day *claps* we back on the attack.”
