WWE: Shawn Michaels on Judgement Day in NXT, Seth Rollins on Issues with NXT Talent Not Wanting Call-ups, Becky Lynch

Shawn Michaels Comments on Judgement Day’s Current Stint in NXT

A recent episode of Sportskeeda’s WrestleBinge podcast had Shawn Michaels as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Michaels’ thoughts about Judgement Day’s recent appearances for WWE’s NXT brand.

“Obviously we’re thrilled to have Rhea and Dom and Judgment Day as a whole coming through NXT, and who knows how much they’ll be here in the near future? It certainly looks like Dom is at the very least gonna be here next week along with Rhea to receive an NXT North American Championship match from Wes Lee. We’ll see what kind of ramifications that has on our Great American Bash on July 30.

We’re absolutely excited about Judgment Day, what they bring here to NXT and the fact that they’re at least lingering around here for a little while. Very excited to see what happens next week in the North American Championship [match] as Wes Lee defends against ‘Dirty’ Dom, and we’ll see what that brings forward from an impact on Great American Bash.”

Seth Rollins Comments on “It Rubbed Me The Wrong Way When NXT Talent Didn’t Want To Join The Main Roster”

A recent episode of the Out of Character with Ryan Satin podcast featured Seth Rollins as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Rollins’ thoughts about his recent return appearances in NXT and his issues with NXT talent who did not want to be called up to WWE’s main roster.

“It was very cool for me to go back and have that moment. One of the things I talk about is helping the younger talent and pushing the industry forward. The opportunity was presented to me to go down to NXT and I haven’t wrestled a match on the show in over ten years. Obviously, it moved from Full Sail to the Performance Center and the look, the feel, and the vibe was totally different and it had gone through so many different iterations over the years, but it’s still NXT. I cut a little promo after the show and it didn’t really dawn on me that it would feel sentimental until after when I got out there and I felt the audience and I felt the connection. I hadn’t wrestled in front of a crowd that small and intimate in a very long time. There is something special about wrestling in front of an intimate crowd like that in a small space. You’ll see big bands do that, go back to these small bars and pack them out. There is something about that where you get a different experience as opposed to doing it in an arena or stadium, it’s a lot more personal. It really hit me when I went out there and you could really interact with any person in any seat. It was an awesome experience.

Bron was a hell of an opponent. I was really happy to get down there and get in the ring with him and chit-chat with other guys and girls, and see what they are experiencing on a day-to-day basis. It was cool. I felt a lot of hunger to get to the next level. I was happy to see that. We were going through a period with NXT where there was a lot of complacency and people talking about, ‘I’d rather stay in NXT, I don’t want to go to the main roster.’ That always rubbed me the wrong way. When I went down there this past time, I felt a different energy and I felt people were excited to come to the main roster and take their careers to the next level. That got me hyped.”

Becky Lynch Revealed She Almost Missed This Past Monday’s RAW Show Over Recent Cyst Removal

This past Monday’s WWE RAW show in Buffalo, New York featured a singles match of Becky Lynch vs. Zoey Stark, which was won by Stark with some distraction help by Trish Stratus.

In a recent interview with USA Today, Lynch revealed that a recent cyst removal procedure almost prevented her from being able to work at this past Monday’s RAW show.

“When I landed from London, I had to go to the ER and had to get a cyst removed. Then had to get that redone on Friday, but was in the ring, fine, ready to go by Monday.”
