AEW: Adam Cole Suffered Injury, New Matches for Rampage Grand Slam & WrestleDream, New AEW Shows for This Nov.

Update on Adam Cole Suffering Leg Injury at AEW Grand Slam 2023

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Grand Slam 2023 event at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens. New York featured the main event match of Samoa Joe vs. MJF for the AEW World Championship. Near the end of the match, Adam Cole ran out to be at ringside to offer words of encouragement to MJF so that he would not submit to Joe’s sleeper. In the process of running down to the ring, Cole leaped off the elevated ramp and appeared to have suffered a leg related injury.

Following the match, Cole was seen limping around in the ring during MJF’s post-match victory celebration.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Cole was seen limping around backstage after the match in obvious pain and was sent to a local hospital for a medical evaluation. Cole was later seen exiting the hospital walking with the use of crutches.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that the current speculation is that Cole had suffered an ankle-related injury.


New Matches Added to AEW Rampage Grand Slam 2023 & WrestleDream

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Grand Slam 2023 event at Arthur Ashe Stadium also featured one new match officially announced for both this Friday’s AEW Rampage Grand Slam 2023 event and next month’s WrestleDream event.

In regards to Rampage Grand Slam 2023, this new match was announced to be a #1 Contender’s for the ROH World Tag Team Championship Four-Way match of The Kingdom (Mike Bennett & Matt Taven) vs. The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy) vs. The Righteous (Dutch & Vincent) vs. The Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta).

In regards to WrestleDream, this new match was announced to be a ROH World Tag Team Championship match of the winners of the #1 Contender’s match vs. MJF & Adam Cole (c).

AEW Announces Dates for Three New Dynamite & Collision Shows This November

AEW recently announced that they will be holding a new set of AEW Dynamite and Rampage tapings on November 29th at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

AEW also recently announced that they will also be holding a new Dynamite show on November 8th at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

AEW also recently announced that they will also be holding a new set of Rampage and Collision tapings on November 10th at the Oakland Arena in Oakland, California.

Tickets for all of these upcoming shows were also announced to officially go on sale starting on September 29th.
