Former WWE and AEW producer Ace Steel reportedly is currently scheduled to work as a backstage producer for Impact Wrestling this weekend, according to PWInsider.
Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Steel is currently in Chicago and will be working as a backstage producer for Impact at tonight’s Bound For Glory 2023 and Sunday’s Bound For Glory Fallout Impact! television tapings.
One source spoken to reportedly stated that Steel will be working as a producer in a tryout basis for the company. This same source reportedly stated that Impact officials had wanted to bring Steel into the company prior to his return to AEW from his initial firing over his involvement in last year’s All Out 2022 backstage fight incident.
Johnson reported that following Steel’s second release from AEW this past September, Impact officials had contacted him regarding a potential producer job in the company.
Johnson reported that this will be the first time that Steel will be working for Impact since 2003.
