Wardlow Reveals Match with MJF for AEW World Title as His Reason for His Return

Wednesday’s Dynamite show in Rosenberg featured Wardlow defeating “Hollywood Hunk” Ryan Nemeth in a quick squash style match.

Following the match, Tony Schiavone attempted to get a post-match interview with Wardlow over what is his mission since returning to AEW. Wardlow held up his wrist tape that had MJF’s name on it and shoved Schiavone to the ground as he walked away.


Sting Announces Retirement Match to Take Place at AEW Revolution 2024

Wednesday’s Dynamite show in Rosenberg also featured Sting officially announcing that he will be retiring from wrestling at AEW’s Revolution 2024 event.

During the show, Sting gave an in-ring promo talking about his lengthy wrestling career and how his love of performing in front of wrestling fans has kept him going after all these years. Sting also stated that he will be retiring from wrestling and mentioned that if AEW Revolution 2021 was where he made his official in-ring debut for AEW then Revolution 2024 will be where he will be having the final match of his AEW and wrestling career.


Two New Matches Announced for AEW Battle of the Belts VIII

Wednesday’s Dynamite show in Rosenberg also featured two new matches officially announced for AEW Battle of the Belts VIII, which takes place on October 21st in Memphis, TN.

The first new match announced is a TBS Championship match of Willow Nightingale vs. Kris Statlander (c).

The second new match announced is an AEW International Championship match of Winner of John Silver/Kip Sabian/Brother Zay vs. Orange Cassidy (c).

Both matches were setup following a backstage interview segment involving The Best Friends, Statlander, Cassidy, & HOOK. Statlander and Cassidy both gave their thoughts about their upcoming title matches with Statlander stating that Nightingale is a worthy opponent for a shot at her title and Cassidy stating that he wants to continue where he left off as being a fighting champion for the International title.

Juice Robinson Wins Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale Match

Wednesday’s Dynamite show in Rosenberg also featured the main event of a Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale match.

This match was won by Juice Robinson, who last eliminated Max Caster following a Right Hand of God punch that knocked out Caster.

As a result of his victory, will challenge MJF for the Dynamite Diamond Ring at next week’s Dynamite show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
