Luchasaurus Mask Lawsuit Update – AEW & CFX Reaches Settlement Deal

As noted before, AEW and Luchasaurus have been dealing with a lawsuit filed by Composite Effects, LLC since this past January by over allegations of copyright infringement involving Luchasaurus’ mask design.

Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston reported that AEW and Composite Effects (CFX) reached a settlement deal this past Tuesday based on recent court documents.

In the filing, it was stated that this lawsuit was officially dismissed without prejudice and CFX would be legally allowed to refile their lawsuit in the future if the terms of their settlement deal are not completed within sixty days.


This Saturday’s AEW Collision Show to Air in Normal Timeslot

The October 7th AEW Collision show was notable for airing at an earlier time slot of 7:00PM EST due to preemption-related issues involving TNT commitments with the 2023 MLB Playoffs.

This Saturday’s AEW Collision show was originally announced to be starting at an earlier timeslot as well due to similar reasons. Following the results of Wednesday’s MLB Playoff games, AEW CEO Tony Khan announced on Twitter that this week’s Collision show will now be airing at its normal start time of 8:00PM EST.


Date Revealed for AEW Battle of the Belts VIII

AEW’s next Battle of the Belts special, Battle of the Belts VIII, is currently scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 21st.

In a recent update to TNT’s programming schedule, it was revealed that this upcoming Battle of the Belts show will be taking place on that date and at a starting time of 10:00 PM EST following that night’s AEW Collision show at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.
