In a recent interview with Haus of Wrestling podcast, NXT talent Ilja Dragunov gave his thoughts about getting to share the ring with Cody Rhodes during the October 10th episode of NXT. Dragunov stated “It was very interesting and absolutely a very special moment not only for me, but also for the audience in the arena and probably for the people watching on TV because it is as I said in the promo — meeting a person in the ring who stands, in a different way, for the exact same things that you stand for, that is something that very rarely happens. Look at Cody Rhodes, he brings an energy, a fire, a passion to the ring in front of those arenas, in front of those people that not a lot of other people can do. I do that too for NXT. People feel what I do, the passion, the fire I bring. This is something very similar and I mean, this moment standing me and Cody Rhodes together in one ring, I was scared that there was going to be an energy overload.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)

In a recent interview with WrestlingNews.co’s Ten Count podcast, Shotzi gave her thoughts about her decision to shave her head this past summer. Shotzi stated “My sister was going through chemotherapy and she started losing her hair. She told me that she didn’t want to wait for it to all fall out. She was going to shave it off. I immediately went to Hunter and was like, ‘Hey, my sister’s going through chemo. I want to support her. I want to be there for her. I want to shave my hair off too. Can we make it not weird and make it part of a storyline so I don’t just show up one day with no hair,’ and he was totally for it. I got to work with Bayley with it too, which Bayley has always been a huge role model to me, so to have that moment with her and share this meaningful moment with her was really awesome. I didn’t really say much of it, but like, everyone kind of knew anyway and that really resonated with my sister, and she got like a lot of support from my fans, which I really love and appreciate too.” (Transcript h/t: WrestlingNews.co)
