Wes Lee Makes Surprise NXT Return at Tuesday’s Halloween Havoc 2023 Night 2 Show

Tuesday’s NXT Halloween Havoc 2023 Night 2 show featured Wes Lee making his surprise return to WWE’s NXT brand.

Following Dominik Mysterio’s victory over Nathan Frazer to retain his NXT North American Championship, Lee ran out and attacked Mysterio from behind as Mysterio and Rhea Ripley were celebrating. Lee then held up Mysterio’s North American title indicating the reason for his return.

This was Lee’s first appearance in WWE’s NXT brand since the September 12th NXT show.


Wins This Year’s NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament

Tuesday’s NXT Halloween Havoc 2023 Night 2 show also featured the Finals of the 2023 NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament between Kelani Jordan & Lola Vice.

The finish to this match involved Jordan hitting an Overdrive to Vice to lay her out and attempted a split-legged moonsault from the top rope leading to Elektra Lopez getting on the apron to stop her. This led to Jordan kicking Lopez off the apron and attempted to hit a split-legged moonsault again only to miss and injury her knee after Vice dodged away. Vice then hit a spinning roundhouse kick to Jordan for the pinfall victory to emerge as the winner of this year’s NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament.


NXT Heritage Cup Match Announced for Nov. 7th NXT Show

Tuesday’s NXT Halloween Havoc 2023 Night 2 show also featured the officially announcement of a NXT Heritage Cup match of Akira Tozawa vs. Noam Dar (c) for the November 7th NXT show.

This match was setup following a series of cinematic Haunted House segments involving Meta-Four and Tozawa. The final segment involved Dar finally finding his NXT Hertitage Cup that Toazwa had stolen but before he had a chance to leave, several zombies and ghouls surrounded Dar. This led to Tozawa appearing stating that he wanted the cup instead but was willing to make a deal involving Dar getting to leave with his Cup but in return he wanted a match for it. Dar refused at first which led to Tozawa letting the zombies threatening him before Dar relented and accepted the deal. After getting what he wanted, Tozawa left but not before sicking his zombies onto Dar who was seen screaming as the screen faded to black.

Later in the show, NXT commentator Vic Joseph announced that this was made official for next week’s show.
