Cody Rhodes vs. Damian Priest Announced for Crown Jewel 2023, Updated Card

Monday’s RAW show in Dallas featured one new match officially announced for the card of WWE Crown Jewel 2023, which takes place on November 4th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This new match is a singles match of Cody Rhodes vs. Damian Priest.

This match was setup following an in-ring promo segment between Priest and Rhodes. After some insults banter between Rhodes and Judgement Day’s Priest and Finn Balor, Priest challenged Rhodes to a match at Crown Jewel 2023. Rhodes quickly accepted and stated why wait till Crown Jewel when they could give a preview of it tonight. This led to a brawl breaking out between Rhodes, Priest, and Balor that quickly expanded into a mass brawl involving Jey Uso and Judgement Day’s Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh. This brawl ended with Rhodes getting his leg smashed by a chair onto the steel steps by Priest. In a follow-up segment, RAW commentator Michael Cole stated that this match was made official for the event.

Tegan Nox Revealed to Have Suffered Injury at Last Week’s NXT Show

Monday’s RAW show in Dallas also featured the announcement of Tegan Nox currently being out of action due to a recent injury.

This announcement was made during a backstage segment involving Indi Hartwell, Candie LeRae, and Natayla. While Hartwell and LeRae were discussing Hartwell’s upcoming match with Becky Lynch for the NXT Women’s Championship, Natayla showed up and chatted with both. LeRae asked how Nox was doing which led to Natayla responding stating that Nox got hurt at last week’s NXT show but that she will be back soon.

No other details were given regarding the nature of Nox’s injury.
