WWE: Shotzi on Hosting NXT Halloween Havoc, Will Ospreay on Potential WWE Career, New Trademarks

Shotzi Comments on Hosting NXT’s Halloween Havoc Specials

A recent episode of WrestlingNews.co’s Ten Count podcast featured Shotzi as the guest. One of the topics discussed includes Shotzi’s thoughts about the card for tonight’s NXT Halloween Havoc 2023 Week 1 show.

“I am loving that we are seeing so many women come in today and doing not just regular matches, like Devil’s Playground matches, Lights Out matches. This is a dream come true. So I’m super excited. I will be definitely watching as a fan. My girl Roxanne is in there, Gigi Dolin is getting down tonight, so I am super excited.”

Shotzi also gave her thoughts about WWE bringing back Halloween Havoc in recent years and her getting to host the specials for NXT.

“I even joked about it when I first got signed. I was like, man, I wish we could bring back Halloween Havloc because we started doing that. We were taking a bunch of old pay-per-views and bringing them back. I was like, man, when is Halloween Havoc gonna get a chance? Then I got a phone call saying, ‘Hey, we’re gonna bring back Halloween Havoc, we want you to be the host,’ and I just died. I was like, this is my dream come true. I’m dressed up like Elvira right now, and she’s my gal. She was the first woman to be the role model for Halloween Havoc. So I’m stepping in her shoes, and she’s my favorite person ever, so I’m really excited.”

Will Ospreay Comments on His Interest in a Potential Future WWE Career

As noted before, Will Ospreay’s contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling is currently set to expire in February of 2024.

The Metro held a recent interview with Will Ospreay. One of the topics discussed included Ospreay’s interest in a potential career with WWE in the future.

“I mean, we have spoke about it more. I’m now open to the idea of stretching myself out that little bit more. As age has become more apparent to me and my body is hurting more and more, I’m open to all avenues. I’ve had a lot of talks with my friends about this, and I have spoke to the missus. Although we’ve spent so much money on our new kitchen, we are open to the idea of relocating to the United States. It’s on the table, that’s all I can really say. That means I am open to all options going forward.”

Ospreay also stated that while he is doing well financially, his main goal is to take care of his family and does not want to sacrifice who he is as a wrestler.

“So everything is motivated towards not only my family, but I want to feel like a wrestler. I feel like a lot of people give up on that side, they just want the money. I understand that, I really do, but if I sacrifice who I am then I don’t think anything I do is authentic.

Family is the most important for me, but I love the fact that I’ve got my missus approval and support. This decision isn’t just about myself, it’s about all three of us together. The fact that’s she’s saying, ‘We’ll stand by you’, that means the world to me. The center of the universe can be anywhere you want it to be, and as long as they’re with me then I’m cool with that.”

Ospreay also gave his thoughts about a potential dream match with Seth Rollins in the future.

“Someone like Adam [‘Edge’] Copeland or Bryan Danielson comes in [to AEW], and suddenly I’m tagged in everyone’s damn tweets being like, ‘The dream match is with Ospreay.’ It’s a pat on the back for me and I’m eternally grateful for it. But now it’s time for me to really gaugue and see what’s out there. So the Seth thing does intrigue me quick a lot. I heard him say in a promo, his 100% is the best in the world. My 50% is the best in the world, so if you actually got me at 100% I think you’d drown in these waters mate.”
