ROH World Title Match Announced for Full Gear 2023’s Zero Hour Pre-show

Friday’s special live Rampage show in Los Angeles featured one new match officially announced for the card of AEW Full Gear 2023, which takes place this Saturday at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California.

This new match announced is a ROH World Championship match of Jay Lethal vs. Eddie Kingston (c). This match was also announced to be taking place on Full Gear 2023’s Zero Hour pre-show.

This match was setup following a backstage interview segment involving Kingston and Lethal & Pals. Lethal stated that he had talked to ROH Board of Director Stokely Hathaway who agreed to his request for his title shot for the ROH World title to take place at Full Gear 2023. Lethal and Kingston then got into a heated argument that ended after Lethal and his group left. Kingston was then confronted by Ortiz as the segment ended.


Samoa Joe Revealed as Mystery Partner for MJF for ROH Tag Titles Match at Full Gear 2023

Friday’s special live Rampage show in Los Angeles also featured Samoa Joe being revealed as MJF’s mystery partner for the ROH Tag Team Championship at AEW Full Gear 2023, which takes place this Saturday at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California.

This was initially setup during recent AEW shows involving Joe stating that he would be willing to be MJF’s tag team partner in return for MJF giving him a shot at the AEW World Championship.

During tonight’s Rampage show, MJF and Bullet Club Gold were involving in a show closing brawl that resulted in Bullet Club Gold’s Jay White and The Gunns getting the upper hand over MJF. The Gunns held up MJF in order for White to strike MJF in the head with the AEW World title. Before White was able to hit MJF, Joe’s music played and he ran out to save MJF. After running out Bullet Club Gold from the ring, Joe confronted MJF and extended his hand and waited for MJF to agree to his deal. After some hesitation, MJF shook Joe’s hand and agreed to make Joe his tag team partner for his ROH Tag titles defense at Full Gear 2023.
