Winner of Women’s WarGames Advantage Fan Poll to be Announced at Survivor Series Kickoff Show

Friday’s SmackDown show in Rosemont featured the announcement that the winning team for the fan vote for the advantage for the Women’s WarGames match at this Saturday’s Survivor Series 2023 event will be officially revealed during the Kickoff pre-show.

This upcoming Women’s WarGames match features Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, & Shotzi facing off against Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, Kairi Sane, & Asuka).

Ridge Holland Walks Out from Brawling Brutes

Friday’s SmackDown show also featured Ridge Holland walking out of the Brawling Brutes.

This was initially setup during last week’s SmackDown show following Butch accidentally hitting Holland with a Brogue Kick and costing his team the chance to win the #1 Contender Four-way match for a shot at the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.

During tonight’s show, Holland and Butch made their entrance for their tag team match against Pretty Deadly but Holland was still in a visible sour mood over what had happened last week. Near the end of the match, Holland refused to be tagged in by Butch and walked out of the match leading to Butch trying to fight off Pretty Deadly on his own to no avail in the end.

Carlito Suffers “Injury” at Friday’s SmackDown Show, Dragon Lee vs. Santos Escobar Announced for Survivor Series 2023

Friday’s SmackDown show also featured one new updated match announced for Survivor Series WarGames 2023, which takes place this Saturday at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

This is a singles match of Dragon Lee vs. Santos Escobar.

This match was setup following a promo and brawl segment involving Carlito and Escobar. Carltio gave a promo talking about his issues with Escobar and their upcoming match at Survivor Series. This led to Escobar coming out to interrupt and blamed Carlito for being the one responsible why Mysterio is injured and for causing the rift in the LWO family. Carlito and Escobar then engaged in a brawl that resulted in referees and WWE officials coming out to put a stop to it at first only for Escobar to run around part of the arena and sneak attacked Carlito.

In a follow-up segment, Escobar ambushed Carltio backstage and resumed his attack only to be stopped by Lee who fought off Escobar and sent him running away.

In another follow-up segment, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis stated in a backstage interview that Carlito is not medically cleared to compete at Survivor Series and his match with Escobar has been postponed. This led to Lee showing up to interrupt and stated that he wanted to take Carlito’s place for the match at Survivor Series, which Aldis granted.
