Backstage Update on Bruce Prichard Expected To Retire From WWE In 2027

As noted before, Bruce Prichard, WWE Executive Director – Creative Writing & Talent, is currently expected to retire full-time from WWE in 2027. Prichard is also expected to remain with WWE on a consulting basis role after his retirement.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Prichard’s current plan is to work from home following a “very serious” surgery that he needs for his neck.

It was reported that an internal memo about Prichard regarding his status went out within WWE earlier this year but details about the memo were not given.

It was also reported that Prichard has been the main person in charge of running WWE shows the last couple of weeks due to WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque being on a vacation break.

In regards to the possibility of Prichard returning to the Something to Wrestle podcast, it was reported that Prichard’s co-host Conrad Thompson stated that they may be able to “figure something out” when Prichard is no longer living in Stamford, Connecticut.
