WWE & Rotunda Family Launch New Bray Wyatt Merchandise Collection

WWE recently launched a new Bray Wyatt Legacy merchandise collection on their official online WWEShop in honor of the late Brayy Wyatt, real name Windham Rotunda. WWE also announced that this new collection set was done in partnership with the Rotunda Family.

This collection was listed as “WWE is proud to present the Bray Wyatt Legacy Collection. LET HIM IN with this Evolution of Bray Wyatt Legacy Collection T-Shirt celebrating the most captivating and enigmatic Superstar to illuminate WWE.”

In a recent interview with Forbes, WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda gave his thoughts about WWE’s new merchandise collection set honoring his late son and revealed that proceeds generated will go directly towards supporting Wyatt’s children.

“I go do some autograph signings here and there and I’ve had so many people come up to my table supporting Windham with firefly shirts and guys with tattoos on their arms. It’s pretty cool. This is helpful, what WWE is doing to keep that spirit alive among the WWE Universe which will in turn keep Windham’s characters alive in their minds. It’s awesome what they’re doing.

Especially for Knash and Hyrie, this is important. Kendyl and Cadyn know who their dad is because they’re a little older, but you don’t remember everything when you’re 3 or 4 years old. With the stuff WWE is putting out there, they’ll be able to look back and see exactly who their dad was. It’s awesome that they’re going to get a chance to relive some of their moments that their dad did.”

Update on WWE’s Current Interest in Stardom’s Giulia

As noted before, WWE is currently very interested in potentially signing Stardom talent Giulia to a contract with the company.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that WWE’s interest is far more serious than previously believed. Meltzer reported that WWE has given an offer to Giulia which Stardom officials are currently aware of.

Meltzer reported that if WWE’s offer is for a main roster type contract, which starts at around $250,000 per year, then this would be far more than she currently can make in Japan. If WWE’s offer is for a NXT developmental type deal, Meltzer reported that this something that can be easily matched financially by Stardom and Bushiroad due to its much lower monetary amount.

Meltzer reported that while NXT deals are lower financially, they do include the possibility of being upgraded to higher paying main roster deals which played a role in IYO SKY and Kairi Sane’s decisions to leave Stardom for WWE. Meltzer also reported that Sane had also left a main roster deal to return to Stardom for an easier work schedule but still decided to return back to WWE after a while.

Update on Rey Mysterio’s Knee Injury & WWE’s Plans for Mysterio vs. Santos Escobar Feud

As noted before, Rey Mysterio recently underwent knee surgery and is currently expected to be out of action for at least the next six to eight weeks.

Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources confirmed Haus of Wrestling’s report about Mysterio had been working through a torn meniscus for the past three months and the amount of time he is currently expected to be out of action.

Meltzer reported that those spoken to stated that the reason why Mysterio decided to work through his injury was due him not wanting to miss out on having a feud with Logan Paul and competing in a match together at WWE’s recent Saudi show. Meltzer reported that Mysterio’s decision led to WWE officials rushing their plans for Santos Escobar’s heel turn and attack on Mysterio due to the timing of Mysterio’s scheduled surgery for his knee.

In regards to WWE’s current plans for Mysterio and Escobar’s feud, Meltzer reported that WWE officials currently have plans to split up the LWO with Cruz Del Toro and Joaquim Wilde expected to side with Escobar and Carlito expected to side with Mysterio. Meltzer also reported that the status of the LWO name and which side gets it is currently not known. Meltzer also reported that the side Zelina Vega will be on for this Mysterio vs. Escobar feud is also currently not known.
