As noted before, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre recently revealed that a mystery person will be arriving soon in the company. This person is currently expected to be Andrade El Idolo making his official return to the company.
Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources stated that Andrade currently believes that his contract with AEW is set to expire relatively soon baring him agreeing to a new deal or additional time being added to because of time off or injuries. Andrade’s current contract is for three years in length that he signed in June of 2021.
Meltzer reported that the reason why Andrade wants to work for CMLL for at least one last time is in case he makes the decision to leave AEW and return to WWE. Andrade reportedly has yet to make any official decision regarding what he will be doing next for his career but he is aware that if he does decide to leave AEW to go back to WWE, then it would not be possible for him to go back to the Arena Mexico to also work for CMLL.
In regards to CMLL, Lucha Blog reported that CMLL has all but stated that they will be announcing that Andrade has signed an official deal with them this Friday.
Hi. Reported Andrade was coming back to CMLL on Monday. CMLL has all but said they’re announcing the deal on Friday. Thanks for coming.
