Trent Seven Signs Contract with Impact/TNA at Impact Final Resolution 2023

Saturday’s Final Resolution 2023 event for Impact Wrestling in Toronto, Ontario, Canada featured former WWE NXT UK and current indies wrestler Trent Seven making a surprise appearance.

During the show, The Rascalz gave a backstage promo talking about their attack to ABC earlier and how they are not done with them. Impact Director of Authority Santino Marella showed up and told them they had a guaranteed rematch with ABC at Hard To Kill 2024. The Rascalz responded stating that they did not want to wait which led to Marella stating that if they didn’t want to wait to have a match tonight, then they can face “Speedball” Mike Bailey and a mystery partner and tossed out Trey Miguel’s scheduled singles match against Bailey for the show.

Bailey’s tag team partner was revealed to be Seven and following their victory over The Rascalz, Impact President Scott D’Amore came out and handed Seven an official Impact/TNA contract in the ring. Seven proceeded to sign the contract to make it official.

Impact Ring Announcer Dave Penzer Departing from Impact/TNA

Following Saturday’s Impact Final Resolution 2023 event, Impact President Scott D’Amore came out and gave a speech to the live crowd stating that this was the last night of Impact ring announcer Dave Penzer’s time with the company. D’Amore thanked Penzer for all of his work for Impact and handed him an award as a gift.

Penzer then gave a speech stating that he was not retiring and thanked everyone for his last three years in Impact.

Prior to his departure, Penzer had been with Impact since 2020 and had an earlier stint from 2006 to 2010.

Deonna Purrazzo Impact Contract Status Update

As noted before, Deonna Purrazzo’s contract expires at the end of this month and she is currently expected to leave the company and explore free agency.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that Saturday’s Final Resolution 2023 event in Toronto is currently believed to have been Purrazzo’s last scheduled date with Impact.
