Shinsuke Namakura Reveals Reason Why He’s Targeting Cody Rhodes

Monday’s RAW show featured Shinsuke Nakamura revealing the official reason why he has been targeting Cody Rhodes.

During an in-ring promo segment, Rhodes gave his thoughts on Nakamura’s red mist sneak attack to him last week and being revealed as the mystery person that Nakamura has been talking about in a threatening manner in recent weeks. Rhodes stated that he blamed himself for getting attacked since he should have been aware of all the hints Nakamura gave over who was the mystery person he was targeting. Rhodes also stated that he should have known that he would have had a target on his back for his big aspirations, including being the first to declare himself for next year’s Men’s Royal Rumble match. Rhodes then called out Nakamura to come out and explain himself or he can march down there and they can fight right now instead.

This led to the lights going out and Nakamura being shown on the big screen. Nakamura revealed that while Rhodes’ eyes burned last week, he will open them up tonight and reveal what Rhodes has not been seeing. Nakamura stated that the path they have taken is the same story, which was revealed to be they both had won the Men’s Royal Rumble only to suffer the same humiliation at WrestleMania over not being able to win the big one. Nakamura stated that they both had a fall from grace with pages left in their story. After some more words, Nakamura stated that he wanted to take the burden of Rhodes story off of his hands and since he never got to finish his own story, he will finish Rhodes’ story instead.

After the lights went back on, Rhodes responded to Nakamura stating that he appreciates Nakamura for explaining why he attacked him last week. Rhodes stated that he does not rate nor respect Nakamura nor has it ever been part of him to run away from a fight. Rhodes also stated that he is not the same as Nakamura and if Nakamura thinks that, then he can prove it.

Later in the show, RAW commentator Michael Cole announced that a match between Rhodes and Nakaumra was made official for next week’s RAW show in Cleveland, Ohio.

CM Punk Appearance Announced for Dec. 11th RAW Show

Monday’s RAW show also featured the official announcement of CM Punk making his next appearance for the RAW brand at next week’s RAW show in Cleveland, Ohio.

Prior to the start of tonight’s show, WWE had announced that CM Punk would not be making an appearance on RAW and instead was being advertised to appear at this Friday’s SmackDown show in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

During the show, a backstage segment took place involving RAW General Manager Adam Pearce and Jey Uso. During their conversation, Pearce revealed that Punk will be making an appearance at next week’s show. Pearce also stated that while Randy Orton signed an exclusive contract with the SmackDown brand, he is hopeful of being able to sign Punk to an exclusive contract for his RAW brand.
