AEW: Bryan Keith Reportedly Signed Contract, Kenny Omega Yet to Undergo Surgery for Diverticulitis, Two New Matches for Sat. Collision

“The Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith Reportedly Signed Contract with AEW

Indies talent “The Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith reportedly recently signed an official contract with AEW, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer reported that while his sources stated that Keith has signed a contract, it is currently not known if it is a full-time deal or a per-date type deal. Meltzer reported that if it is a full-time deal, then a “#AllElite” graphic would be released by AEW for their signing announcement on social media.

Prior to his signing, Keith has made several appearances for AEW since August of 2023 and for Ring of Honor since December of 2023.

Kenny Omega Diverticulitis Injury Update – Omega’s Health Situation Not Good & Yet to Undergo Surgery

As noted before, Kenny Omega revealed on Friday that he has been hospitalized due to an undisclosed medical issue, which was later revealed to be diverticulitis.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Omega’s current health situation is much worse than what Davey Boy Smith Jr’s situation was when he was suffering from diverticulitis and appendicitis. Meltzer reported that while Smith Jr. was able to get surgery right away and was able to make a remarkable recovery, the opposite has been true for Omega at the moment.

Meltzer reported that Omega’s inflammation was very bad to the point he was unable to have surgery at the time nor has undergone it as of last week. Meltzer also reported that Omega’s doctors will be making a decision in about seven weeks if Omega will need to undergo surgery or not depending on the situation with his inflammation and his healing up to that point. If surgery is needed, Meltzer reported that Omega would be out of action for a much longer period of time.

AEW officials reportedly currently do not have any plans for a potential timetable for Omega’s return nor have they been working on any creative plans for his potential return.
