House of Black Attacks Daniel Garcia & Mark Briscoe Trying to Take Them Out of the Trios Cage Match

Saturday’s Collision show featured House of Black attacking both Daniel Garcia and Mark Briscoe in a failed attempt to get a man advantage in the Elimination Trios Cage match for the show’s main event.

During the show, Daniel Garcia was shown with a bloody face and being attended to by Matt Menard after being attacked off-screen by a mystery person(s), who were later revealed to have been House of Black.

In a follow-up segment, FTR were interviewed backstage by Lexy Nair to get a medical update on Garcia. Briscoe walked in to interrupt and stated that he would be willing to fill in for Garcia if he was unable to compete due to his injuries. FTR thanked Briscoe for wanting to help out and stated he could be on their team if Garcia couldn’t make it in time.

Prior to the start of the match, FTR came out for their entrance but before Briscoe could make his own separate entrance, the lights went out and when they came back on HoB was seen attacking Briscoe and tossing him off the stage onto a table taking him out of the match. HoB then proceeded to brawl with FTR with a man advantage. Later in the match, a bandaged up Garcia came out to even the odds and attacked Buddy Matthews with a chair.

This match ended with Garcia and Malakai Black being the final two remaining in the cage and Garcia being the last one to escape for his team’s victory.


Brian Cage Challenges HOOK to FTW Title Match

Saturday’s Collision show also featured the announcement of a FTW Championship match of Brian Cage vs. HOOK for a future AEW show.

This match was setup following a backstage interview segment involving Cage and HOOK. Cage stated that he was upset at losing both the ROH Six-Man Tag Team and AEW World Trios titles and was also annoyed at everyone talking about FTW Champion HOOK. Cage claimed that he was the one who put the FTW title on the map and HOOK was the size of his smaller leg. HOOK showed up to interrupt and told him he can have a title shot whenever he wants.


CMLL Stars Announced to be Making Appearances at Next Week’s Rampage Show & Future AEW Shows

As noted before, Friday’s AEW Rampage show featured the official announcement of CMLL talents Místico, Máscara Dorada, Volador Jr., and Hechicero will be arriving soon to AEW shows.

During Saturday’s Collision show, a video aired showcasing Místico, Máscara Dorada, Volador Jr., and Hechicero and announced that they will be making several appearances primiarly on AEW Collision shows.

It was also announced that the first appearance of this group of CMLL talent will be at next week’s Rampage show on February 3rd.


Toa Liona Revealed as Hangman Page’s Dealer’s Choice Opponent

Saturday’s Collision show also featured Hangman Adam Page’s opponent for his Dealer’s Choice match at next week’s Dynamite show being officially revealed.

In a backstage promo segment, Swerve Strickland announced that he selected fellow Mogul Embassy member Toa Liona as his choice for Page’s opponent for his Dealer’s Choice match at next week’s Dynamite show.

In a follow-up backstage segment, Page gave his thoughts about Liona as his opponent and stated that Strickland will have to wait to find out who he had picked to be Strickland’s opponent for his own Dealer’s Choice match next week.
