Adam Cole Explains His Betrayal of MJF & Reveal of His New Group’s Name of Undisputed Kingdom

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show featured Adam Cole explaining his recent betrayal of MJF and the official name of his new group as the Undisputed Kingdom.

At the start of the show, Cole’s “All About Da Boom” entrance theme played but then abruptly stopped and transitioned to a new entrance theme song and video graphics that had the name of Undisputed and the image of a crown. Cole and his new group came out to the ring under this new theme song.

During his promo, Cole stated that MJF made more enemies than friends in AEW and the only ever cares about himself. Cole stated that it was time for a change in AEW and Tony Khan and everyone should be thanking him for getting rid of MJF and claiming that he was gone for good. Cole then stated that what he did to MJF would have been the same thing MJF would have done to him if the roles were reversed. Cole stated that he never needed MJF but MJF needed him and he sacrificed a lot including his ankle for his friendship with his now former friend and champion. Cole claimed that he was the reason why fans started to like MJF and saved MJF’s AEW World title reign. Cole then revealed that it was just a trick since he wanted to be the downfall of MJF’s reign.

Cole then called out the members of his new group and stated that The Kingdom hold ROH Tag Team gold while Roderick Strong will go after the International title and Wardlow will go after the World title for their group’s goal. Cole proclaimed that Wardlow will defeat Samoa Joe for the AEW World title and then hand the title over to him.

After some boasting by Cole about the Undisputed Kingdom, Jay White’s theme song interrupted. White came out and stated that he is impressed about what Cole did to MJF but took offense to him being used as just a pawn in Cole’s plans and being attacked by his pals when he was alone. White stated that this is not the case tonight and signaled for Bullet Club Gold’s The Gunns to come out resulting in a brawl breaking out between the two groups. The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn ran out and joined in on the brawl chasing out the Undisputed Kingdom.

Marq Quen Makes Surprise Return at Wednesday’s Dynamite Show

Wednesday’s Dynamite show also featured Marq Quen making his surprise return from injury to AEW.

Following Orange Cassidy defeating Dante Martin to retain his AEW International Championship, Top Flight & Action Andretti and Best Friends were all in the ring leading to Cassidy shaking hands with Martin over their match. Before anything else could happen, Private Party’s entrance theme played and Isiah Kassidy and Quen came out.

Private Party walked to the ring and gave a promo reintroducing themselves and calling out the rest of AEW’s Tag Team division stating that 2024 was the time for new tag team champions and them being the team to that will do it.

This was Quen’s first appearance in AEW since December of 2022.

Deonna Purrazzo Makes Surprise Appearance & Announces Signing with AEW

Wednesday’s Dynamite show also featured former Impact Wrestling talent Deonna Purrazzo making her surprise return to AEW and announcement of her officially signing with the company.

Following Mariah May’s victory over Queen Aminata in her AEW in-ring debut match, AEW interviewer Renee Paquette got into the ring to interview May for her thoughts. May gloated about her victory and stated that she hoped that Toni Storm was watching. May stated that the only regret she had was that her in-ring debut had to be in New Jersey which led to the Newark crowd booing May for trashing their home state.

This led to Purrazzo’s music playing and came out to the ring. Purrazzo stated that if Storm does not want to be here tonight, then they don’t want her here either in reference to Storm’s comments earlier in the show bashing New Jersey. Purrazzo then told May to send a message to give to Storm, which she stated that she will find her. Purrazzo also stated that she is All Elite and this is now the Age of the Virtuosa. May responded that she is not the messenger and she can tell Storm herself. May then called Purrazzo a “bitch” and slapped her resulting in a brawl breaking out between the two and Purrazzo standing tall in the end.
