TNA Announces Dates for New Championship Belts Reveal

Impact/TNA Wrestling announced earlier today on Twitter that they will be officially revealing their new Championship belts for their TNA revival during the week of January 7th.

It was announced that their new TNA X-Division Championship belt will be officially revealed on January 7th, their new TNA World Tag Team Championship belts on January 8th, their new TNA Knockouts World Championship belt on January 9th, and their new TNA World Championship on January 10th.


Kota Ibushi Ankles Injuries Update – Kota Ibushi to Undergo Ankle Surgery & Apologizes for NOAH The New Year Match

As noted before, Kota Ibushi suffered injuries to both of his ankles at NOAH’s The New Year 2024 event this past Tuesday in Ariake, Japan and was hospitalized shortly afterwards.

Ibushi recently provided an update on Twitter stating that he will be undergoing surgery on both of his ankles.

“Sorry for the late contact. I’m sure Mr. NOAH will give you more details, but I would like to inform you that the inside of my left ankle was quite a mess, so I decided to have surgery on the right ligament. I think there will be a release soon.

I’m really, really sorry.”

Ibushi also apologized for his match performance at NOAH’s recent event and stated that he was scammed by a clinic called C5 Clinic.

“I was scammed by a place called C5 Clinic, which is spread all over the country, as I mentioned before. Take care of yourself, please.

I think NOAH will release information about my surgery, fractures and dislocations, etc. I’m sorry for the match, everyone. It’s all my fault.”

Impact/TNA Wrestling announced that Dani Luna and Alisha Edwards are the final two official competitors for the Knockouts Ultimate X match at their TNA Hard To Kill 2024 event on January 13th in Las Vegas, Nevada.

New Japan Pro Wrestling recently announced that this year’s Windy City Riot event will be taking place on April 12th at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois. It was also announced that tickets for this upcoming event will officially go on sale starting on January 12th.

NJPW also recently announced that their 52nd Anniversary Show will be taking place on March 6th in Tokyo, Japan.

Bushiroad held their 2024 New Year Presentation press conference earlier today in Japan. During the press conference, it was announced that the upcoming film based on Stardom talent Mayu Iwatani, titled Runaway Wrestler, will be officially premiering on May 17th. Stardom recently announced that they have pulled Miyu Amasaki, Thekla, Hina, and Mai Sakurai from their upcoming events due to various health-related issues. Amasaki was stated to have recently contracted a flu, Thekla was stated to be taking time off to rehab her neck injury, Hina was stated to be taking time off to rehab a collarbone injury, and Sakurai recently suffered a sternum injury.

Stardom also announced that they have also pulled Momo Watanabe from their upcoming events due to her recently testing positive for COVID-19.

As noted before, British indies wrestler “Mad Kurt” Kurtis Chapman passed away this past December at the age of 26. Revolution Pro Wrestling recently launched a GoFundMe fundraiser to help raise funds to financially assist Chapman’s family.

Rock band Downstait recently announced that they are currently working on a new entrance theme song for Nic Nemeth, former Dolph Ziggler in WWE, that will be released soon.
