Johnson also reported that WWE officials are currently considering Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan as the leading candidates to win this upcoming match.

Johnson also reported that it is very likely that Ripley will be defending her championship at the event as well.

The Garcias (Bellas) Comment on Allegations in Vince McMahon Sex Trafficking Lawsuit

As noted before, former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit this past Thursday against TKO Group Executive Chairman Vince McMahon accusing McMahon of committing sex trafficking and sexual abuse towards her during her time in the company. McMahon officially resigned from TKO Group and WWE this past Friday.

WWE Hall of Famers Nikki and Brie Garcia, former Bella Twins, recently issued an official statement on Twitter about the allegations made against McMahon and their step-father John Laurinaitis.

“We are shocked and disheartened with the recent allegations against members of the WWE.

It has been a lot to process since we found out this past week just as you all did. This is something we don’t stand for or condone from anyone no matter who they are.

We want all women to feel safe and supported in the workplace and in their everyday lives.”

Shawn Michaels Comments on Bron Breakker “Still Has Work To Do” In NXT

As noted before, Bron Breakker made his official Men’s Royal Rumble debut at this past Saturday’s Royal Rumble 2024 event in St. Petersburg, Florida.

A recent episode of the Battleground Podcast featured NXT head booker Shawn Michaels as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Michaels’ thoughts about if this past Saturday’s event was Breakker’s official call-up to WWE’s main roster.

“He may feel like that’s his home, but he still has work here in NXT to do, whether he likes it or not. Our job is to lose talent. He’s one that, I’m going to have trouble letting him go. I can assure you that there is more left for Bron Breakker here at NXT, one way or another. He’s an incredibly talented, very gifted young man. As far as I’m concerned, he’s young and, as we say, full of piss and vinegar. If he wants to double time, he can certainly do it, but I’m not letting him go that easy.”
