Naomi Makes Surprise Return at Royal Rumble 2024

Saturday’s Royal Rumble 2024 event featured Naomi making her official return to WWE.

Naomi, former Trinity in Impact/TNA Wrestling, made her surprise return during the Women’s Royal Rumble match as the #2 entrant.

This was Naomi’s first appearance in WWE since March of 2023.

Jordynne Grace Makes Surprise Appearance at Royal Rumble 2024

Saturday’s Royal Rumble 2024 event also featured TNA Wrestling talent Jordynne Grace making a surprise appearance and official WWE debut.

Grace made her surprise appearance during the Women’s Royal Rumble match as the #5 entrant.

Grace came out to the ring wearing her TNA Knockouts World Championship and under her TNA entrance theme and graphics.

In regards to Grace’s appearance, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported prior to the start of the show that Grace’s appearance was a one-off type deal and not her working for WWE going forward due to her still being under contract with TNA.

Jade Cargill Makes WWE In-Ring Debut at Royal Rumble 2024

Saturday’s Royal Rumble 2024 event also featured Jade Cargill making her official WWE in-ring debut.

Cargill made her surprise appearance during the Women’s Royal Rumble match as the #28 entrant. Cargill proceeded to have a staredown with Nia Jax in the middle of the ring and engaged in a brawl leading to Cargill eliminating Jax for her first ever Women’s Rumble elimination.

Surprise NXT Entrants for Women’s Royal Rumble Match

Saturday’s Royal Rumble 2024 event also featured two NXT talents making surprise appearances during the Women’s Royal Rumble matches.

These two were Roxanne Perez and Tiffany Stratton. This was Perez’s second Women’s Rumble match appearance, following her first in 2023, and Stratton’s debut Women’s Rumble appearance.

Liv Morgan Makes Surprise Return at Royal Rumble 2024

Saturday’s Royal Rumble 2024 event also featured Liv Morgan making her surprise return from injury.

Morgan made her surprise appearance during the Women’s Royal Rumble match as the #30 entrant. Morgan was among the final three along with Jade Cargill and Bayley and finished as the runner-up to the match.

This was Morgan’s first match since this past July.

Bayley Wins 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble

Saturday’s Royal Rumble 2024 event also featured Bayley winning the Women’s Royal Rumble match for the first time in her career.

Bayley entered the match as the third entrant and eliminated Liv Morgan to win the match. In the process, Bayley set a new all-time WWE record for longest time spent in a Women’s Royal Rumble match at 1 hour, 3 minutes, and 3 seconds.
