More on Sting & Darby Allin Winning AEW Tag Titles at Wednesday’s Dynamite Show

As noted before, Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Phoenix, Arizona featured Sting & Darby Allin defeating Big Bill & Ricky Starks to become the new AEW World Tag Team Champions.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Sting had been “adamantly and long against” winning the AEW Tag Team titles and was against even competing for the titles for a long time to AEW officials.

Several of those within AEW spoken to reportedly stated that from the company’s standpoint, Sting and Allin should have been given a title shot long before Wednesday’s show due to their undefeated record as a team.

It was reported that AEW officials made the decision for Sting and Allin to win the titles “Well in advance” with Sting agreeing to go along with their plans.

It was also reported that Sting was seen “all smiles” backstage following the match.


New Johnny TV & Taya Valkyrie Romcom Series Announced for AEW YouTube Channel

AEW recently announced that they will be launching a new romantic comedy series titled Johnny Loves Taya on their official YouTube Channel on February 14th.

It was also announced that this upcoming series will be featuring Johnny TV and Taya Valkyrie and new episodes to be released every week.


New Match Announced for Sat. AEW Collision Show & Current Cards for Feb. 9th Rampage & Feb. 10th Collision Shows

AEW recently announced one new official match for the card of their February 10th Collision show in Henderson, Nevada.

This new match announced was a tag team match of Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli) vs. Team CMLL (Esfinge & Star Jr.).

  • AEW International Championship – Tomohiro Ishii vs. Orange Cassidy (c)
  • Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli) vs. Team CMLL (Esfinge & Star Jr.)

AEW also recently announced the full card for this Friday’s Rampage show, which was taped on Wednesday in Phoenix, Arizona.
