Sammy Guevara Announces He’s Medically Cleared for In-Ring Return & Calls Out Powerhouse Hobbs

Friday’s taped Rampage show featured Sammy Guevara making his surprise return from a storyline injury at the hands of the Don Callis Family.

In a backstage interview segment, Guevara stated that he has been medically cleared after Powerhouse Hobbs tried to end his career by sabotaging his dive off the stage truss and costing him the AEW World Tag Team titles a few weeks ago at Battle of the Belts. Guevara stated that he is coming for Hobbs but will not say when or where for his revenge.

In a follow-up backstage interview segment, AEW backstage interviewer Renee Paquette asked Don Callis and Hobbs for their thoughts about Guevara’s earlier comments. Callis stated that he is sick of hearing Guevara talk about his family and mockingly congratulated him for being able to reproduce. Callis also stated that while Guevara might be medically cleared he must not be mentally cleared over what he said about Hobbs. This led to Hobbs responding stating that he also has three mouths at home who depend on him and he is not worried at all about Guevara’s threat about hunting him down.

Don Callis and Powerhouse Hobbs are ready for anything Sammy Guevara can throw at them.
