Matt Camp reportedly was released from WWE last week, according to PWInsider and Fightful.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that the reaction within WWE over Camp’s release was one of a general shock. Johnson reported that there has yet to be a reason given to why he was released nor has WWE officials made any internal statements over the matter.
Johnson reported that prior to his departure, Camp had never missed hosting an episode of WWE’s The Bump series during his tenure in the company until last week’s show. Johnson reported that there was no mention of Camp’s departure not any reference to him missing the show.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources confirmed Johnson’s report about Camp being quietly released from WWE last week.
Prior to his departure, Camp had been working in WWE since 2019 and was known for his time working as the host of WWE’s The Bump, Raw Talk, and Talking Smack series. Camp was also a regular on WWE’s Kickoff shows for premium live events.
