Rumor Killer on Tommy Dreamer Being Named Head of TNA Creative

Fightful Select reported that their sources denied recent reports and rumors of Tommy Dreamer being named the new head of TNA Wrestling’s creative following former TNA President Scott D’Amore’s firing. The origin of the rumors came from a report from Dave Meltzer in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter about Dreamer taking over as the new Head of Creative.

It was reported that those spoken to stated that TNA’s creative team has remained unchanged since D’Amore’s firing and still features Robert Evans (RD Evans), Hunter Johnston (Delirious) and Tommy Dreamer as the main writers. It was also reported that Gail Kim and Anthem Senior Producer Jorge Barbosa have also joined TNA’s creative team in a supporting role.

Former Fight Network General Manager Ariel Shnerer reportedly is now overseeing all TNA content and will be working closely with newly named TNA President Anthony Cicione on all talent and creative decisions going forward.

In a recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast, co-host Dreamer denied the rumors of him becoming the new Head of TNA Creative.

“I’m so glad people know things about my life that I don’t know. Everything is staying intact of how it was before with myself, Robert Evans, and Delirious. There are no changes. Purposely made sure that was a thing. Whoever reported about stuff in my life, thank you, but as someone who has been doing the same stuff the entire time I’ve been there, nothing has changed. Thanks for the promotion. I hope I get a raise. If I was head of creative, Moose is losing the title to me at the next show. Book myself on top, brother.

It’s the same deal as before. Nothing has changed within the creative process.”
