As noted before, WWE is currently interested in a potential collaboration with Hollywood legend Sylvester Stallone for this April’s WrestleMania 40 event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources confirmed WrestleVotes’ report about WWE officials being interested in a collaboration with Stallone for their event due to Stallone’s Rocky Balboa character ties with the city. Meltzer reported that those spoken to with WWE also confirmed that the company has had recent talks with Stallone over this potential plan.
Those spoken to reportedly also stated that as of earlier this week, Stallone had informed WWE officials that there was a current schedule conflict preventing him from appearing at their upcoming event. Meltzer reported that no deal can be done unless Stallone is able to or wants to remove this schedule conflict.
