Becky Lynch Advances to Women’s Elimination Chamber Match at Elimination Chamber 2024, Updated Card

Monday’s RAW show featured Becky Lynch advancing to the #1 Contender Women’s Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Women’s World Championship at WWE’s Elimination Chamber 2024 event, which takes place on February 24th at the Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia.

This match was initially announced prior to the start of tonight’s show with the winner to face off against Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Championship at this April’s WrestleMania 40 event.

Lynch advanced to the Women’s Elimination Chamber match following her defeating Shayna Baszler in a qualifier match during tonight’s show.

The finish to this match involved Baszler locking in a Kirifuda Clutch to Lynch who managed to escape out of the hold and followed it with a roll-up for a near fall. Bazsler then attempted a running knee strike to Lynch who dodged the attack and hit a lazy looking Manhandle Slam for the pinfall victory to advance to the Women’s Elimination Chamber match at Elimination Chamber 2024.

Nia Jax vs. Rhea Ripley for WWE Women’s World Title Announced for Elimination Chamber 2024

Monday’s RAW show also featured another match also officially announced for Elimination Chamber 2024.

This new match announced was a WWE Women’s World Championship match of Nia Jax vs. Rhea Ripley (c).

This match was initially setup in recent weeks over Jax and Ripley’s heated issues with each other leading to Jax ambushing attacking Ripley during last week’s RAW show and telling Bayley to go pick someone else for her title shot at WrestleMania 40 since Ripley was hers.

During tonight’s show, an upset Ripley went to the ring and angrily gave her thoughts about Becky Lynch qualifying for the Elimination Chamber but she did not come out here to talk about qualifying matches. Ripley stated that she wants Jax in the ring right now so that she can “rip her bloody head off” and yelled for Jax to come out. This led to RAW General Manager Adam Pearce coming out to interrupt and stated that this was not the time for this and how he gets it and knows this is what Ripley wants. Pearce stated that he will give Ripley a match against Jax but at Elimination Chamber. Pearce then asked Ripley if they can get the show moving again now. Before anything else could happen, Jax’s music interrupted and made her way to the ring causing a brawl to break out. After Pearce got knocked off the apron during the brawl, he called for security to come out to put an end to things. This led to Ripley and Jax taking out the security and Jax hitting an Annihilator to Ripley right after to stand tall in the end.

Current card for WWE Elimination Chamber 2024:

  • WWE Women’s World Championship – Nia Jax vs. Rhea Ripley (c)
  • WWE Women’s World Championship #1 Contender Elimination Chamber match – Becky Lynch vs. TBA vs. TBA vs. TBA vs. TBA vs. TBA
  • Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship – Winner of Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne/#DIY vs. Judgement Day (Finn Balor & Damian Priest) (c)

Bron Breakker Makes Appearance at Monday’s RAW Show

Monday’s RAW show also featured NXT talent Bron Breakker making an appearance.

This was initially setup during this past Friday’s SmackDown show involving RAW GM Adam Pearce telling Breakker to not sign a deal with SmackDown until he got the chance to present his own offer first for RAW and invited him for Monday’s RAW show.

During tonight’s show, Pearce was seen with a RAW brand contract in his hands while talking to Imperium about the plans for Gunther’s 600 day celebration ceremony as Intercontinental Champion. This led to Breakker walking in and Pearce telling Imperium to leave since he had something to discuss with Breakker. Pearce then told Breakker that his offer was going to be bigger than the one Nick Aldis gave him for SmackDown.

Jey Uso Challenges Gunther for Intercontinental Title at Monday’s RAW Show

Monday’s RAW show also featured Jey Uso issuing a challenge to Gunther to a future match for his Intercontinental Championship.

This potential match was setup following an in-ring promo segment involving Imperium and Uso. Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser were seen in the ring and Kaiser told everyone that he demands their attention for the greatest Intercontinental Champion. This led to Gunther coming out and stating that to the surprise of no one, he is celebrating the jubilee of his 600 days as champion. Gunther then turned his attention to Kaiser stating that while he appreciates Kaiser setting up this ceremony, he does not want it anymore and stated that there is no difference for 700 days, 800 days, and 1,000 days since they are all a given for him. Gunther claimed the only thing that will never change is him being the greatest and longest reigning champion of all-time. Gunther then stated that he is running out of competition and claimed that there is no man worthy of challenging him for his great championship.

This led to Uso’s music interrupting and him making his way to the ring. After some insults by Gunther directed to the crowd for dancing to Uso’s theme and to Uso over how he eliminated him from the Men’s Royal Rumble match, Uso tried to respond back only to get mocked again by Gunther. Gunther praised Uso for having his own record setting title reign as WWE Tag Team Champion and stated that it was even more impressive since he only had to do 50% of the work unlike him who has done 100% of the work for his own record setting title reign. Uso responded back stating that Gunther was going to get a 100% ass whooping and asked the crowd to “Yeet” if they wanted him to challenge Gunther for his title, which the crowd loudly yelled back with “Yeet.” This led to more insults by Gunther in stating how it was good of Uso to finally develop the guts after 15 years to step out of the shadow of his famous family and achieve something for himself. Gunther then claimed that Uso is not the first nor will he be the last to ride on The Ring General’s coattails. Gunther stated that when he beats Jey, he will beat him worse than his own family ever did and he will be wishing for the good old days when people could not tell him and his brother Jimmy apart. This led to brawl breaking out and Imperium getting the upper hand until New Day ran out to save Uso and send Imperium out of the ring.
