More on AEW Dynamite Viewership for March 13th

The March 13th episode of AEW Dynamite saw AEW gain a small increase in overall viewership. This week’s show was notable for being Dynamite Big Business special.

AEW drew 798,000 viewers and a 0.27 key demographic rating on TBS. AEW’s key demographic ranking for that night was 3rd place.

AEW’s initial ratings numbers were 801,000 viewers and a 0.27 key demographic rating but these numbers did not include the overrun and had been omitted instead due to an issue by Nielsen. AEW’s final numbers when the six-minute overrun was included actually led to a lower overall viewership number due to the overrun had performed poorly and lost enough viewers to drag down the overall number.

Detailed key demographic viewership breakdowns were not available in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer reported that the main reason for AEW’s increase this week was due to the gains from their Over 50 viewership and older key demographic viewership groups, which its percentages were not given. This reportedly offset the large decline from their younger key demographic viewership group, which its percentage was not given. Meltzer reported that despite the increase in viewers compared to last week’s show, this week’s viewership would be considered as a disappointment for AEW due to the show had been very heavily hyped up and also had been teased without outwardly advertising to be Mercedes Mone’s official debut in the company. Meltzer reported that AEW’s lead-in programming The Big Bang Theory drew 1,051,000 viewers on TBS for the night.
