Sammy Guevara reportedly was recently suspended by AEW, according to Fightful Select.
Sean Ross Sapp was reported that his sources stated that Guevara was suspended over issues related to Jeff Hardy’s injury during their No Disqualification match against each other on the February 16th Rampage show.
Sapp reported that Guevara was given the suspension due to AEW’s concussion protocol not being properly followed over Guevara hitting his finisher to Hardy’s head after Hardy had suffered a head-related injury. Sapp reported that AEW officials were not happy over this and suspended Guevara afterwards.
Sapp also reported that it is currently not known how long Guevara’s suspension will be.
This is the second time Guevara has been suspended in AEW, following his first in 2020 due to past insensitive and controversial comments he made in an episode of the Raw’s 4th Hour podcast in 2016 resurfaced online.
