WWE reportedly currently has plans for John Cena to make a potential appearance at this April’s WrestleMania 40 event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported that his sources stated that WWE’s plans are entirely dependent on Cena’s availability for the event. Meltzer reported that Cena is currently scheduled to begin filming soon for the second season of Peacemaker and it would basically be up to his acting schedule having some free time in order for him to work at the event.
Meltzer reported that should Cena be able to make an appearance, this would not involve him doing anything that would be deemed a risk by Hollywood. WWE’s current idea reportedly is for him to do something “fun, short, and memorable and with substance” at the event.
