Hiroshi Tanahashi Ankle Injury Update – Tanahashi Pulled from New Japan Cup 2024 Tour & Sakura Genesis 2024 Event

As noted before, Hiroshi Tanahashi has been out of action for New Japan Pro Wrestling since this past February’s The New Beginning in Sapporo 2024 Night 2 event due to an ankle injury.

NJPW recently provided an update announcing that due to his injury situation, they have pulled Tanahashi from their upcoming New Japan Cup 2024 tour. It was also announced that they have also pulled Tanahashi from this April’s Sakura Genesis 2024 event and have delayed Tanahashi’s match against Nic Nemeth for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship to a later date to be determined.

Following further examination on an ankle injury sustained at New Beginning in Sapporo, Hiroshi Tanahashi will be absent from the New Japan Cup series, as well as Sakura Genesis on April 6 to allow for a full recovery.

His previously announced IWGP Global Championship match will be delayed until a later date to be determined.

TNA Announces Four New Matches for Sacrifice 2024

TNA Wrestling announced four new matches for their Sacrifice 2024 event, which takes place on March 8th at the St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

The first new match announced was a singles match of Nic Nemeth vs. Steve Maclin.

The second new match announced was TNA Knockouts World Championship Three-way match of Tasha Steelz vs. Xia Brookside vs. Jordynne Grace (c).

The third new match announced was a singles match of Josh Alexander vs. Hammerstone.

The fourth new match announced was a 6-Man Tag Team match of Time Machine (Kevin Knight, KUSHIDA, & Chris Sabin) vs. The Good Hands (Jason Hotch & John Skyler) & Mustafa Ali.

Stardom Announces Full Bracket for 2024 Cinderella Tournament

Stardom announced the full bracket for this year’s Cinderella Tournament, which takes place from March 9th to March 20th in Japan.

It was also announced that this year’s tournament will be featuring 24 competitors and MIARI, Suzu Suzuki, Mei Seira, Ami Sourei, Waka Tsukiyama, Hazuki, AZM, and Mai Sakurai all receiving a first round bye.
