Bianca Belair Comments on Being Hopeful of Being Able to “Pick Things Back Up” with Mercedes Mone in WWE in the Future

A recent episode of the Gorilla Position podcast featured Bianca Belair as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Belair’s thoughts about if she has had any talks with Mercedes Mone over the idea of Mone making a potential return to WWE in the future.

“I haven’t had this conversation with her. I don’t know what she wants and what she wants to do. I just want what’s best for her and what she wants to do with her. I’m no one to tell someone what they should do. I will say that we created some magic in the ring at WrestleMania 37. I think there was so much more magic to be made, not only with us inside the ring, but with me being champion at the time, and the tag team champions, I saw so much representation that was on the verge of happening, so much greatness that was going to happen. The fact that it was all halted at that point, I would love for it to pick back up one day and take off. We didn’t even touch the tip of the iceberg with what could be done.”

#1 Contender’s Tag Team Tournament Announced for NXT Tag Titles Match at NXT Stand & Deliver 2024

Tuesday’s NXT Roadblock 2024 show featured Drew Gulak revealing that NXT will be holding an upcoming tag team tournament to determine the official challengers for the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT Stand & Deliver 2024, which takes place on April 6th at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Gulak stated that two members of his No Quarter Catch Crew will be representing the group in this tournament.

Following Tuesday’s show, WWE released an exclusive video on Twitter featuring NXT General Manager Ava talking with several tag teams in her office for this upcoming tournament. In a whiteboard that was shown in the video, it was revealed that this will be a six-team tournament and the winners of the first round matches will compete in a Triple Threat match in the Finals to determine the official challengers for Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker’s titles at Stand & Deliver 2024. No other details were stated by Ava for when this tournament will start.

Tuesday’s NXT Roadblock 2024 show featured indies talent Brogan Finlay making his official televised NXT in-ring debut. Finlay competed under the new ring name of Uriah Connors in a losing effort against Shawn Spears.
