Alpha Academy Makes Surprise Return Appearance at Tuesday’s NXT Show

Tuesday’s NXT show featured Alpha Academy’s Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Maxxine Dupri making their surprise return appearance to WWE’s NXT brand.

During the show, Meta-Four were seen backstage talking about Noam Dar’s upcoming match against Trick Williams while Lash Legend was still in awe and gushing over last week. Legend interrupted Dar stating after that kiss last week, she can not wait to get her hands on him. This led to the rest of Meta-Four asking Legend what she meant by that which Legend responded stating that she means she wants to beat him up as well. Alpha Academy showed up and interrupted Meta-Four conversation. Otis attempted to sweet talk to Legend and stated that he is jealous of Williams, which led to a disgusted reaction from Legend and her and Meta-Four walking away.

In a follow-up segment, Alpha Academy interrupted Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker’s backstage interview and asked why they were not included in the qualifiers for the #1 Contender’s match for the NXT Tag Team Championship. Dupri issued a challenge to Corbin and Breakker for a tag team match next week and if Alpha Academy won, then they would get added to the NXT Tag Team titles match. Breakker responded agreeing despite Corbin telling him not to the whole time Durpi was talking.

NXT North American Title Match Teased for NXT Stand & Deliver

Tuesday’s NXT show also featured one new potential match teased for the card of NXT Stand & Deliver 2024

This new potential match teased was a NXT North American Championship match of mystery opponent vs. Oba Femi (c).

This match was setup following a promo segment involving Briggs, Femi, and Dijak. Briggs was the first to go to the ring and talked about Femi’s actions to his friend Brooks Jensen last week and claimed that Femi wanted to wound Jensen. Briggs then called for Femi to come out and dared him to try to do the same to him. This led to Femi coming and stated that he was surprised that Briggs did not like his match last week. Femi then talked about how he relishes in testing a man’s limits and pushing him to the edge. After some more words, Femi stated that Briggs is a man of courage and he is steadfast. Briggs responded stating that Oba walks around with so much confidence that you would think you are the baddest dude here. Briggs stated that like everyone else, you meet someone a little bit tougher and claimed that he is the “man of mayhem.” Briggs then issued a challenge to Femi for his North American title at Stand & Deliver 2024.

Dijak’s music played interrupting Briggs and Femi and made his way to the ring. After some insults directed by Dijak towards Femi, Briggs responded stating for the Wannabe Shaft to stop interrupting them. Dijak gave a puzzled look and responded that he’s white so he can not be Shaft. Femi responded and stated that when it comes to his title, it is him and no one else. Femi, Dijak, and Briggs then engaged in a brawl that was stopped after NXT officials ran out to the ring.

In a follow-up segment, Chase U walked into NXT GM Ava’s office interrupting her phone conversation. Thea Hail stated that she wanted payback for what Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx did to them earlier and Ava responded giving Hail a match against Nyx for next week’s show. Ava then stopped Duke Hudson from leaving with the rest of Chase U and stated that she was considering having him compete in a match with North American title implications for Stand & Deliver 2024. Hudson responded stating that her idea sounded interesting and walked away.
